    The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Tuesday, Jan 8th, extended the deadline for farmers to apply for aid payments under the Market Facilitation Program as the partial shutdown of the federal government continues.

    The deadline, originally set for Jan 15th, will be delayed for the number of business days that USDA offices are closed, according to the agency.
